Hatherop Primary School mums Milly Withington and Milly Bowring have successfully completed their extraordinary “Three Peaks, Two Millies, Three Legs” fundraising challenge for the Hatherop Big Build — raising more than £2,600 and counting for the project.
Over three days in May, the determined duo tackled the UK’s three highest mountains — Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis — in a truly unforgettable style: three-legged.

Joined by trusty two-legged companion Hattie Abbott, the team battled steep climbs, unpredictable weather and some very sore limbs to complete their bonkers but brilliant mission, all in support of the school’s campaign to build a new hall for pupils and the wider community.
Thanks to the generosity of donors — which included impressed hikers who met them along the way — the team has already raised more than £2,600 for the Big Build, smashing their £1,000 target.

The fundraiser was also kindly supported by three local pubs: The Stump at Fosse Cross, The Victoria Inn at Eastleach and The New Inn at Coln St Aldwyns, each sponsoring one of the mountains and donating meal prizes for supporters.
A huge thank you goes to Milly, Milly and Hattie for taking on such a remarkable challenge with determination, humour and community spirit — and to everyone who has donated to support them.
