Pam Ayres raises funds - and the roof - for Hatherop Big Build

The Hatherop Big Build was thrilled to have the support of the sensational Pam Ayres for a special fundraising performance at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon, in early November.

The event was an overwhelming success, with a sell-out audience enjoying Pam’s trademark wit, warmth, and poetry.   There was an auction hosted by renowned local auctioneer, Philip Allwood, and a raffle - both of which were tremendous, contributing to the overall total of money raised. A huge thank you to our brilliant team of volunteers, who worked tirelessly selling raffle tickets and keeping everything running smoothly throughout the afternoon.

Her grandchildren, Hugo, Rose and Flora, all attend Hatherop Primary. "We are grateful that she is raising money for our school, we are so lucky to have her as our funny, kind and amazing grandmother,” says Hugo.

Wonderfully, over £27,000 was raised - all proceeds of which will go directly to the Hatherop Big Build. We are deeply grateful to Pam, and her husband Dudley, for their generosity and support, and to everyone who helped make this such a memorable and successful event for the school and our community.
