Hatherop’s Young Entrepreneurs: A Fantastic Success!

 

The Grow-a-Fiver initiative - run in early 2025 - saw every pupil given £5 with the task of turning it into as much money as possible, with ideas ranging from bracelet-making and cupcake-baking to climbing mountains and long-distance cycling. One group of kids even arranged a disco!

After totting up the totals, we can reveal the children made an astonishing £10,300, with further contributions still coming in. Huge congratulations to everyone involved and a special thanks to The Growth Hub for donating all the fivers to get the initiative up and running, and to Midas Communications for matchfunding the initial donation.
